Goodness... what a find... this was one of those lottery moments when I knew I'd won. Just look at it... aged wood, a beautiful patina and all the character of years of use. It is called a spice pot because it would traditionally have been kept on the hearth with their spices in easy reach, but now it would probably be used for nuts and nibbles, but could of course hold anything you need it to.
